Disciplinary Action
The BWF Statutes is the complete set of rules and regulations. There are 5 chapters (see below), and Chapter 3 – Judicial Procedures, includes rules about disciplinary and appeals processes. Administrative fines are found in Chapter 2 – Ethics.

The BWF Judicial Procedures provides details on the disciplinary processes and the rights of players, coaches, officials and others who are under-going disciplinary action.
There is also a system of administrative fines and some of these relate to bad on-court (Players Code of Conduct). There are automatic fines for yellow cards or red cards from the umpire, indicating a breach of the code of conduct. There are also automatic fines for late withdrawals from tournaments and also not showing up for your tournament or your match.
These administrative fines cannot be appealed (see Chapter 2 – Section 2.5 Table of Offences and Penalties (badminton) and Section 2.6 – Table of Offences and Penalties (Para badminton).
Independent Hearing Panel
The Independent Hearing Panel has the power to sanction players, coaches, competition officials, Member Associations or other persons for infringement of any of the Codes of Conduct.
The decisions of the Disciplinary Committee may be appealed. The process of the appeals is governed by the BWF
Judicial Procedures.
